Fertilizer

From nitrogen to sulphur and everything in between, BNSF has the people and equipment to ship your fertilizer products safely and quickly.

With consistent, reliable service at a fair value, BNSF offers superior shipping options. As a major hauler of dry and liquid fertilizer materials, BNSF has an expansive franchise in key consuming areas.

The advanced development of the BNSF fertilizer unit train network enables both shippers and receivers the opportunity to access more distant markets at lower cost and with reduced transit times.

Because of our public pricing our business provides a level of transparency not available with other modes of transportation. By creating a level playing field in the marketplace, we offer a price that is commensurate with the value we provide and is often a better value proposition than alternative modes and providers of transportation.
